TT2000 Rules & Disclaimer
Of Liability
This page backgrounds the
(unfortunate) steps we have to take to avoid liability. The
following points are in a disclaimer form you are asked to sign before you set
out on Day 1. It would save a lot of time if you read through it now and
understood the points. Sorry but we're unable to amend this form. If you're
unhappy about signing it then it will be a problem for you at the checkpoint.
Each rider must sign before receiving their starting ticket.
The key points about the TT2000
are:
- you participate at your own
risk
- it is assumed you have
assessed your ability to finish the distance in the time allowed and you
have chosen to participate because you believe you can do it
- the distance and the time
window have been designed so that you do not have to break the law, you can
afford micro rests and you are not racing anyone else
- you can just pull out any
time you like, there is no monetary forfeiture to entice you to stay in and
at all times on the bike you are expected to be responsible for your own
well-being
- there is no prize for
finishing other than an option to purchase a souvenir 'achiever's pack' if
you want to take home a rally memento
- the TT Flyer clip-ons are
completely optional and again it assumed you will exercise personal
discretion whether you do any or all of them
- while the routes are set for
both days and the event is on regardless of weather, you exercise
personal responsibility for research into weather, road conditions and fuel
availability vs capability for your bike
